MetalSafe B-300 – is an environmentally friendly two-component spray coating, specially designed for unique anti-corrosion and waterproofing protection of metal. It provides chemical protection for metal structures. The applied coating is final. After applying the material, a seamless rubber membrane with good adhesion to any base is formed. The material is water-based, solvent-free, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, it does not get damaged when exposed to acids, alkalis and salts. Unlike many other protective coatings, MetalSafe B-300 can be applied directly to slightly rusty metal. When working with MetalSafe B-300, there is no need to use open fire and material heating. The operating temperature range of the product is from -45°C to +80°C (peak -55°C and+95° C)

SCOPE OF APPLICATION

MetalSafe B-300 is a polymer-modified bitumen emulsion and can be applied:

• On metal roofing with traces of corrosion;

• on technological equipment and metal structures in the conditions of chemical production, mining industries;

• On the bottom side and wing flaps of vehicles;

• For anti-corrosion and waterproofing treatment of internal surfaces of metal containers

• as well as in any other area that requires reliable anti-corrosion and waterproofing protection of metal

The coating which is created by MetalSafe B-300 material does not lose its properties for more than 15 years under the influence of sunlight, acid rain and harmful chemicals contained in the polluted air of industrial areas.

To create an anti-corrosion coating, two-component MetalSafe B-300 material is sprayed in combination with a catalyst (inorganic salt solution), which allows you to get a ready-to-use coating in a few seconds.

PREPARATION OF THE BASE BEFORE APPLYING THE EMULSION

The base for MetalSafe B-300 shall be clean, dry, and the surface must also be free of substances that prevent adhesion (grease, dust, gasoline and diesel fuel stains, etc.). Before applying the surface, it is desirable to treat it with a jet of water under pressure, or with a sandblaster.

EXECUTION OF WORK

Before use, MetalSafe B-300 emulsion shall be mixed manually or with a construction mixer at low speed for 3-5 minutes. The MetalSafe B-300 emulsion is applied using HVLP 2000GX sprayer, which has been specially designed for the application of two-component Liquid Rubber materials. The coating becomes dry to the touch in one minute, the full drying process is within 24-48 hours depending on weather conditions. When applying MetalSafe B-300 to the inside surface of a water storage tank, please, wait at least 7 days before putting it into service. MetalSafe B-300 which is applied to the inside of the tank dries better with controlled humidity and may require a portable desiccant to facilitate the curing process.

CONSUMPTION

Material consumption depends on the thickness of the desired membrane and ranges from 0.7 to 2.0 kg/m2.

The consumption of MetalSafe B-300 emulsion to get a dry coating layer with the thickness of 1 mm is ≈ 1.35 kg/m2.

RECOMMENDATIONS    FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR APPLICATION ON ALUMINUM AND ITS ALLOYS.

Work shall be carried out at air temperature from +5 to + 30°C and relative air humidity no more than 80%. The material is a medium alkaline substance. Wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves while working. Wash off fresh dirt with water. Cured material can be removed with white spirit solvent. In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water and ask for medical advice. When using the material, please, follow current regulations related to construction.

STORAGE

The material shall be stored in undamaged tightly closed packaging in a dry place at a temperature no lower than +5°C. The shelf life is within 12 months from the date of manufacture indicated on the packaging. Unused material may be stored until the end of the shelf life in a container with the lid tightly closed.

WARNING

Keep away from children. Protect from freezing! The emulsion shall not be applied at an ambient temperature below +5°C. An incompletely cured membrane may be damaged if it freezes. Do not apply the material onto wet or frozen surfaces.

Avoid contact of the material with any solvents. When applying this product, please, follow safety guidelines, wear gloves, goggles, and other appropriate protective equipment.

MetalSafe B-300 is supplied only in industrial packaging:

• 1000 Euro cubes (IBC)

• 220 plastic buckets
